Studio Rental Terms

1. A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the rental rate (+ HST) is required to secure the rental of the Studio. This amount will be deducted from the balance owing, which is to be paid on the day of rental. Rental charges are calculated based on the time the booking is scheduled for, regardless of your arrival time. All charges are subject to HST.

2. Cancellation of rental contract or planned event with less than 48 hours notice will require full payment of contract.

3. In the unlikely event of building or property damage, the full cost of repairs will be passed on to you.

4. The Studio is a non-smoking facility. Please inform your guests of this.

5. Fastening or hanging pictures, posters, banners, etc… in a fashion that will damage or mark walls, floors, ceilings or other surfaces is not permitted. This includes using picture hangers, nails, tacks, screws, tape, etc… If you have special display needs, please discuss them with the management.

6. The Studio is not a licensed facility. If your function involves the serving of alcoholic beverages, please discuss this matter with the manager.

7. The Studio is to be left in the condition it was received. Any furniture should be returned to its original location and excessive mess should be cleaned up and deposited in the receptacles provided. Failure to do so will result in a cleaning charge of $100.00 being added to your invoice.

8. Your belongings and property should be removed at the end of the rental period. The Studio is not responsible for any belongings, property or equipment left on the premises before, during or after the rental period.

9. If you are using The Studio for photographic production purposes, please be advised that the rental does not include backdrops, props, camera or lighting equipment or technical assistance beyond an initial orientation of the facility. The full cost of repair of any damage to the studio and /or its equipment, caused by accident, misuse or inability to use it properly will be passed on to you. If your shoot requires additional lighting, special equipment, or materials, please inquire about the possible rental of these items.

10. Audio/ Video Production, The Studio is not a soundstage. Some sound interference is inevitable and outside noise on Water St. is beyond our control. Please discuss your requirements with us in detail.
